The candidate
- ACA qualified accountant with strong audit and accounting experience who wishes to build a career in practice.
- Enthusiastic and hard-working with excellent communication skills
- Good commercial acumen
- Committed to exceeding client expectations.
- CCH audit and accounts software experience is beneficial but not essential.

The role
- Reporting directly to the partners, the candidate will be responsible for meeting the compliance requirements of a varied client portfolio.
- Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Managing the workflow of a team of qualified and part qualified accountants
- Ensuring all CRO, tax and other relevant deadlines are met.
- Training and supporting your team.
- Taking full ownership of the process from planning through completion for a wide range of audit assignments
- Supervising and assisting with the preparation of audit exempt financial statements and periodic management accounts.
- Liaising with your colleagues in our tax and company secretarial departments
- Acting as the initial point of contact for clients in your portfolio and developing strong relationships with those clients
- Supporting the tax team with the accounting aspects of advisory work
- Involvement in budgeting, billing, and cash collection
- Business development – attending proposal meetings and assisting with the preparation of marketing materials.
- Special projects – e.g. corporate finance, secondments etc
- The candidate will also have the opportunity to work on ad-hoc advisory projects including:
- Preparation of integrated financial projections
- Financial and systems reviews
- Assisting clients in dealing with banks – finance applications / periodic reporting / restructuring
- Company reorganisations
